In the months leading up to the summer of 2021, there is still uncertainty about what we can do to provide services to the community that is based on the human connections valued by Rotary previous members. The motto "hands-in-space" is certainly a component of our daily routine but it's clear that the confidence of our members is increasing and we are able to make more personal connections. Rotary is changing too. Rotary has evolved. We've honed our methods of holding online meetings for our business' whilst reintroducing activities for service and social using a friendly face-toface approach. In order to build the foundation for a brighter future for Rotary, we have used the opportunities of the pandemic and our old habits. It's an encouraging thing to hear that 75 percent of Rotary clubs are planning to carry on their "business like usual" routines. This summer, many Rotary members have been out with their families and friends, working on various projects including river and beach tidy-ups and trash pick-ups. The article is in English. Rotary gave me, as it has for so many others with a community that is a safe and dependable group of people with similar interests to whom I've made genuine connections during the last twenty years.
